Abraham Woman Succumbs At 72
Mrs. Emma Mary Plumley, 72, of Abraham, died in a local hospital at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday after a long illness.
Born May 12, 1892, in Clintonville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Sally Haslett Loudermilk.
She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Her husband, William I. Plumley, preceded her in death in 1953.
Survivors include three sons, Ellis, Abraham, Emory, Akron, Ohio, and Roy Plumley, Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Osbra (Naomi) Eye, Charleston, and Mrs. Delbert (Mary) Plumley, Abraham; a step-son, Buster Plumley, Vine Grove, Ky.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Elmer Goodson, Bellewood; four brothers, George, Columbus, Ohio; Robert, Grandill, Ohio; Dee, Rainelle, and Homer, Clintonville; a sister, Mrs. Susan Hannah, Clintonville; and 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Clintonville Church of Christ with the Rev. Harold Underwood in charge. Burial will be in the family cemetery at Clintonville.
The body will remain at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home until one hour prior to services at which time it will be removed to the church.
