  The Beckley Register-Herald, Beckley, WV, Online Edition, 25 Feb 2010 FAIRLEA — Kathleen Hines Patterson, 86, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee. Born Aug. 15, 1923, at Bingham, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Luster D. and Pansey Jewel McClung Hines. Kathleen was owner and operator of Fairlea Vacuum Service. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Carl A. Patterson; a granddaughter, Joyce Faye; two sisters, Margaret Hines and Arlamae Hines Patterson; two brothers, Robert and Ordie Hines. Survivors include daughters, Martha Jane Hicks and husband, the Rev. Jay Hicks of Clintonville, W.Va. and Linda K. Raines of Johnson City, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; brother-in-law, Jim Patterson and wife, Kay Ellen of South Carolina and special friend, Anne Dowdy of Fairlea, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg, with the Rev. Von Sadler and the Rev. Ron Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
