FARMINGTON — Neva J. Blagg, 90, a resident of St. Barbara's Nursing Home and formerly of Shinnston, passed away Friday, September 1, 2006.
She was born September 17, 1915, at Enterprise, a daughter of the late Andrew and Belle Hensley.
Mrs. Blagg was a Christian, who attended the Assembly of God Church in Sierra Vista, AZ, while living there, and continued in her faith after an illness prevented her from attending regular church services.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Kathleen Goldstein and husband, Aaron, San Antonio, TX, Ruth "Inkie" McDonald, Shinnston, Doris Kendall and husband Ray, Springs Hill, and Diana Rotkis and husband Paul, Anchorage, Alaska; 1 son, E. "Buck" Blagg and wife, Joan, Idamay; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Betty Lowther, Youngstown, OH.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Vaughn E. Blagg; a son, Vaugh Blagg Jr.; a daughter, Imogene McCullough; a son-in-law, Gerald McDonald; 4 brothers; 4 sisters, and a grandson, Robert Goldstein.
Friends will be received a the Calvary Temple Assembly of God at Swisher Hill on Monday from 2-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, with Pastor Tim Shuttlesworth officiating. Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Enterprise.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington.
