- Mary J. Kniple (age 73, widowed) is found in the South Wheatland District of Macon Co., IL in the 1920 Census. Her son, Olan (age 44), and daughter-in-law, Marie A. (age 42), are living with her.

MARY JANE KNIPPLE OF ELWIN DIES
Has Been Resident There 46 Years.
Mary Jane Knipple, age 77, died at her home in Elwin Saturday evening at 6:20 o'clock. Her death was caused from eurmic poisoning.
Mrs. Knipple was born in Virginia Feb. 20, 1845, and came to Illinois in 1876, making her home in Elwin until the time of her death. She was very active in church work, was a member of the Methodist church, the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society, the Ladies' Aid Society, and the W.C.T.U.
She is survived by one son, Olan Knipple of Elwin. She was the widow of Rev. W. W. Knipple.
