LEWISBURG -Macel Jane Robinson, 83, formerly of Rupert, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2002 at her home following a long illness. She was born June 30, 1918, at Rainelle. Mrs. Robinson was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was affiliated with Amwell Baptist Church, a former member of the Rupert Women's Club and the Rebekah Lodge No. 217 of Rainelle, did volunteer work at the hospital and was a long time member of the Midland Trail CB Club -known as "Little Shadow." She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Eliza Boothe Day; her husband, Van Buren Robinson; two sons, Teddy Wayne and Jackie Lee Robinson; a daughter, Alma Kay Robinson; three brothers, George, John and William (Billy) Day; seven sisters, Agnes, Phyllis and Lillian Day, Arby Roman, Teddy Holcomb, Audrey Taylor and May Hanna and longtime companion, Pritchard Pat Collins. Survivors include a daughter, Thelma Pomeroy of Lewisburg; a son, Harold Robinson and wife, Eleanor (Red) of Rupert; granddaughters, Teresa Richmond and husband, William and Rhonda Hughes and husband, Charles; grandsons, Harold Lee Robinson and wife, Bridget, Allen Robinson and wife, Jessie, Billy Wayne Robinson and wife, Mandy; stepgrandchildren, Lynn Khanna and husband, Cheeky and Bev Pomeroy; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Hunter Richmond, Krystal and Colby Hughes, Dylan, Alec, Jordan and Myranda Robinson, Sunny and Tiffany Khanna; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Dianne and Mike Bates. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smathers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. George Exoo officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Services will conclude with the release of the White Flights. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at Smathers Funeral Chapel. Arrangements by Smathers Funeral Chapel, Rainelle.
