James Julian Mankin, 87, of 4823 Kanawha Ave., South Charleston, died Sunday in Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.
He was a salesman retired from National Scale and Fixture Co. He was also a retired merchant, a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he was chairman of the deacon board, a World War I veteran,
a member of the Masons and the American Legion, and was a resident of South Charleston for 52 years.
Surviving: wife, Nina May Mankin; brother, C.T. Mankin of Miami, Fla.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston.
