Velma Lucille Campbell, 88, of Summersville died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, in Summersville Memorial Hospital.
Born May 18, 1916, in Greenbrier County, she was a daughter of the late William Clarence and Lackie Ann Crane Walkup.
She was a homemaker, a Christian and a Baptist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Cecil T. Campbell; one brother, Wetzel Walkup; one half brother, Olice Walkup; and three half sisters, Louise Cale, Lolita Wilt and Lynida Wyatt.
Survivors include: three sons, Michael Campbell of West Brook, Maine, Riley Wayne Campbell and Cecil ?Trevor? Campbell Jr., both of Nettie; four daughters, Willa McMillion and Wanda Groves, both of Nettie, Nancy Meadows of Summersville and Sue Barth of South Carolina; one half brother, Oswald Walkup of Quinwood; one half sister, Lenore Elmore of California; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at White Funeral Home, Summersville, with Pastor Charles Donaldson, Pastor Clyde Gum and Pastor Carl Hollingsworth officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Nettie.
Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
