  St. Joseph News-Press, St. Joseph, MO, Online Edition, 15 January 2006 Marvin C. Miller, 90, St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at a St. Louis, Mo., hospital. Marvin was born March 15, 1915, in St. Joseph, to Carl E. and Lorena (Crane) Miller. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ. He served as a Chaplain for American Legion Post No. 359 for over 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Ground Force Air Corp B-29 Bomb Group in Casablanca, North Africa, India and Guam. He was employed by Clark Milling Co. He retired from Swift and Co. in 1970 and from Sister?s Hospital in 1982. He married Doris Moskau in 1942. She passed away in 1978. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild, Andrew Miller; and a granddaughter-in-law, Jenifer Johnson. Marvin is survived by his son, Ron Miller and wife Betsy, Lake St. Louis, Mo.; daughter, Sue Johnson, St. Joseph; grandchildren, Nathan, Leslie and Becca Miller, Jeff and Kevin Johnson and Kendra Ezzell; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Blinde, St. Joseph; and numerous nieces and nephews. Service: 10 a.m. Monday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, S. Joseph. Interment Mount Auburn Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Sunday at the Chapel, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. The family suggests memorials to American Heart Association.
