Joseph Roe Perkins Jr. departed this life on Thursday night, August 17, 2006 to spend an eternity with his beloved wife, Pauline. He would have been 70 years old on August 24th. Family and friends had gathered recently as he had been ill for some time. He was loved dearly and will be missed by many.
Joe came to Naples with his young family in the summer of 1969 and made his home here. Born in West Virginia, he had lived other parts of the country before settling in Naples. He was a member of Estates Baptist Church.
Surviving family include two daughters and their husbands, Lynn (Joe) Foster and Brenda (Jim) Houser; three sons and their wives, Wayne and Charlene, John and Anglela, all of Naples and Jason and Megan of Lafayette, LA. There are 12 living grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was part of a very large family with six sisters; and five brothers; dozens of cousins; nieces and nephews; everyone will remember and mourn his passing.
The family requests that donations in lieu of flowers be made to the church at 3101 53rd Street Southwest, Naples, FL 34116 or Hospice of Naples, Inc., 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, 10:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 East Tamiami Trail, Naples.
