  The Charleston Daily Mail, 28 January 1989 Asa William Clemons, 77, of Crawley, Greenbrier County, died Friday, Jan. 27, 1989, in Humana Hospital Greenbrier Valley, Fairlea, after a long illness. He was a retired miner. Surviving: wife, Gladys Walkup Clemons; daughters, Erma Lou Windom of Mount Sterling, Ky., Abby Smith of Baltimore, Md., Norma Foley of McRoss, Edna Mae Judy of Linden, Va., Carol Dickson of Canton, Ohio, Mary Alice Miller of Luray, Va.; sons, Robert and Asa Jr., of Baltimore, Md.; sister, Alice Clemons of Baltimore, Md.; 26 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Leroy Crane officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
