  The Charleston Daily Mail, 15 August 1989 ELMER WILLARD REMLEY, 79, OF KIEFFER, Greenbrier County, died Monday, Aug. 14, 1989, in Humana Hospital Greenbrier Valley, Fairlea, after a long illness. He was a disabled miner and a Baptist. Surviving: wife, Mary Russell Remley; daughter, Brenda Sheppard of Rupert; sons, Robert of Crawley, Bernard of Organ Cave; sister, Eugenia Burns of Clintonville; brother, James of Kieffer; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service will will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Smathers Funeral Home, Rainelle, with the Rev. Leroy Crane and the Rev. Kermit Hunter, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Remley Cemetery, Kieffer. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
