DAWSON - Mary Adene Puckett Demm, 82, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, in a White Sulphur Springs care center following a long illness.
Born March 23, 1914, in Vale, she was the daughter of the late James and Cora Hill Puckett.
Mrs. Deem was a member of the Meadows Grove Baptist Church, Dawson, a homemaker and a life-long resident of Dawson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Deem, in 1971.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis and Drema Helmick, both of Dawson; two sons, Richard Deem of Newport, N.C., and Delvin Deem of St. Charles, Mo.; a brother, Everett Puckett of Dawson; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home CHapel, Rainelle, with the Rev. Leroy Crane officiating.
Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
