  The Charleston Gazette, 12 August 1963 Falling Tree Kills Cutter EAST RAINELLE - Service will be conducted Tuesday for a Greenbrier County man who died in Bluefield Hospital Saturday from injuries received in a wood cutting accident Friday. Roy Garland Nicely, 35, of Crawley, was working on Clear Creek near Rupert with Meadow River Lumber Co. when a falling tree struck his head. Surviving are his widow, Edna; two sons, Lonnie and Dwight, both at home; his father, Owen of Smoot; three sisters, Mrs. Loren Walkup of Glen Burnie, Md., Mrs. Mildred Lewis of Annapolis, Md., and Mrs. Evelyn Brown of Gettysburg, Pa.; and a brother, Coy of Baltimore. Rev. Leroy Crane will officiate at the 2 p.m. rites in Beaver Creek Baptist Church where Mr. Nicely was a member. Burial will be in End or the Trail Cemetery near Clintonville. The body is at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in East Rainelle and will remain until an hour before service.
