He is survived by his father and mother, Junie and Darla Thomas; his grandmother, Patsy Dixon; sister, Shena Thomas and fianc?, Jimmy Adkins; brother, Christopher M. Wright and his wife, Cindy and daughter, Keira "Monkey" Wright; fianc?, Angela Gilkerson and her daughter, Micah Gilkerson; aunts and uncles, Robert and Robin Thomas, Cindy Thomas, Buddy and Teresa Hedrick, Jeff and Lorrie Thomas, Mike and Kim Thomas, Rhonda and Wayne Pennington, along with many cousins and friends.
The easiest way to describe Jonathan is that he was simply the best at everything. He was the best kind of son, the best kind of brother, the best kind of family, and the best kind of friend. Jonathan truly loved his family and his friends, and in his eyes there was no difference between the two. If you were lucky enough to be part of Jonathan's family, there was no limit to what he would do for you, and he never expected anything in return. He had a huge heart and freely gave to others, but his generosity was unknown to most, because he always kept his giving private. He truly knew how to make the most out of life, he lived it to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of it. Whether it was four-wheeling with his buddies, going to WVU football games in the fall, bear hunting with his uncle Bob, or just giving his mawmaw, mom, dad, and sister a hard time, there was absolutely never a dull moment with Jonathan. He was always the life of the party and yet the tenderest of hearts. With that one-of-a-kind smile, mischievous laugh, and crazy sense of humor, he would make anyone laugh, even on their worst day. When you were around him you just couldn't be anything else but happy. Friday evening heaven got a little brighter while our world got a little darker. Jonathan did not leave this world alone, because when he left us, he took all of our hearts with him. Heaven truly gained a precious angel, and even though he is busy enjoying heaven with his Grandpa H, we will never stop missing him or loving him. While trying to follow the extraordinary life that Jonathan led, we live with the promise and await the day that we can see that beautiful smile, sparkling eyes and hear that precious laugh once again.
He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Pallbearers will be: Lee Dixon, Chad Burdette, Josh Workman, Dr. Chris Martin, Stephen Howard, Kip Howard, Chris Rudd and Laramie Myers.
Come join us to celebrate his life at the Sewell Valley Baptist Church on June 21, 2012, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 1 p.m. Please wear WVU attire in honor of his love for the Mountaineers.
