Robert "Pete" Dotson, 76 years, of Lambertville, MI died Friday December 4, 2009 in his home. For over 30 years he was a job setter for General Motors at the Powertrain Plant in Toledo. Previously he worked as a coal miner for Donaico Mines in West Virginia over 15 years.
The son of William and Vicie (Helms) Dotson, he was born January 15, 1933 in Marfrance, WV. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. February 23, 1957 he married Bonnie Lowe in Clifton Forge, VA. She preceded him in death August 13, 1987.
He was a great and loving father, fisherman, hunter and sportsman. Robert was a member of UAW Local #14.
He is survived by his loving children, James Robert "Rob" (Christine) Dotson, Terry Wayne (fiancé, Irina Burman) Dotson, Marshall Scott Dotson, Deborah Ann Ross, and many dear adopted family members and friends. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Gerald and Eugene and sisters, Juanita and Margie.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 till 8 p.m. in the Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. with interment in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or charity of the donors' choice.
