MEADOW BRIDGE — Donald Counts, 67, of Meadow Bridge, West Virginia, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Ronceverte, WV, following a long illness.
Born May 14, 1944, at Crawley, he was the son of the late Ballard W. Counts, and Virginia G. Murphy Counts of Smoot.
Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam. He worked as a coal miner and a mechanic.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by an infant sister and a great-granddaughter, Bella Counts.
Survivors include his wife: Juanita Louise Lowe Counts; 3 daughters: Gwen Webb (Terry), Lisa Harmon (Neal), Donna Angle (Kenny); 3 sons: Dwight Counts (Karen), Charlie Counts (Tammy), John Counts (Sonjia); 1 sister: Carolyn Browning (Russ), and sons Jason and Jared; 1 brother: Glen Counts (Sue), and son, Ricky; 10 grandchildren: Jennifer Counts (Vince) and Amber Counts, Wesley and Ashton Webb, Heather Erickson, Hailey, Elijah, and Sasha Counts, Andrew and Ava Angle; 1 great-grandson: Trey Erickson.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel of Rainelle, with Pastor Jay Talbott officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, WV.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home.
