"Aunt" Mae Via, Alderson, Dies
ALDERSON - "Aunt" Mae Via, 74, of Alderson, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. E. Via, of Alderson, Saturday afternoon.
Death was attributed to a heart attack.
She had been a former resident of Lewisburg, and had lived with her sister for the past three years. Her husband, Stewart, preceded her in death in 1942.
Also surviving is another sister, Mrs. George Hughart, of Fairlea; three brothers, Will Tuckwiller of Free Sweet Springs, Mo.; Frank Tuckwiller, Clintonville; and Homer Tuckwiller, Asbury.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the James Chapel at Clintonville, with the Rev. Randolph F. Johnson, Alderson, the Rev. L. E. Martin, Asbury, and the Rev. C. K. Martin Thomas Field, N. C. in charge. Burial will be in the End of the Trail Cemetery, at Clintonville.
The body will be removed from the Alderson Funeral Home to the home of her sister, at 2 p.m. this afternoon and will be taken to the church one hour before the services.
The nephews will be pallbearers.
