  The Beckley Register-Herald, Online Edition, 6 December 2003 APPOMATTOX, Va. - Nora Ann Miller, 76, of Appomattox, formerly of Meadow Bluff, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at Warrenton, Va., following a long illness. Born July 28, 1927, at Beckwith, she was a daughter of the late John William and Anna Backus Cruse. Mrs. Miller was a member of Soule Chapel Methodist Church at Meadow Bluff, and a retired caregiver for the elderly. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Roy Miller in 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Donna Walkup and husband, Curtis, of Appomattox; a son, William Miller and wife, Wendy, of Marshall, Va.; two sisters, Eva Cox of Rainelle and Elva Hodges of Hudson, Ohio; four grandchildren, James and Jacob Miller, Brian Walkip and wife, Beth, and Justin Walkup; and three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Tabitha and Dakota Walkup. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday in the Mausoleum Chapel, Clintonville. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
