METTA F. PIERCY HUNDLEY, 75, of Clintonville, died Nov. 17, 1992, at her residence after a long illness. She was a member of Clintonville Home Demonstration Club, AARP, and United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker. She was a member of James Chapel United Methodist Church, Clintonville. Surviving: husband, Max Hundley; daughter, Marie Roberts of Lewisburg; stepdaughters, Clara Howard of Odenton, Md., Rita Sheppard of Lewisburg, Maxine Piercy of Asbury, Loretta Cooper; sons, Melvin Piercy and Marion Piercy, both of Clintonville, Maynard Piercy of Kannapolis, N.C., Cecil Piercy of Rainelle; stepsons, Delbert Hundley of Spring Lake, N.C., Roger Hundley of Duck River, Tenn.; sister, Frances Pack of Lewisburg; brother, Earl Tuckwiller of Clintonville; 14 grandchildren; 19 stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 16 stepgreat-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at James Chapel United Methodist Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Garlin Groves and the Rev. Sterling Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Wallace-Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle, is in charge of arrangements.
