  The Charleston Gazette, 15 January 1973 MEADOW BRIDGE - Mrs. Gertrude Griffin, 75, of Meadow Bridge, Fayette County, died Sunday at her home after a long illness. She was a member of the Meadow Bridge Baptist Church and a native of Meadow Bridge. Surviving: son, William D. of Meadow Bridge; daughter, Mrs. Irene Gwinn of Meadow Bridge; sisters, Mrs. Goldie Rookstool, Mrs. Mary Pat Bragg, Mrs. Nona Clay, Mrs. Grace Dodson and Mrs. Zella Judy, all of Meadow Bridge; foster-daughter, Georgia Rookstool of Meadow Bridge; brothers, W. 0. Walkup of Meadow Bridge and James E. Walkup of Toledo, Ohio. The body is at the Don Smathers Funeral Home in Rainelle. Arrangements are incomplete. The Charleston Daily Mail, 16 January 1973 GRIFFIN, Mrs. Gertrude - Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Meadow Bridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack McGrew and the Rev. Bill Fox officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Mrs. Griffin, 75, of Meadow Bridge, Fayette County, died Sunday at home.
