WALKUP, Cleo Russell, Sr. - 56, of Crawley, died Friday in C&O Hospital, Clifon Forge, Va. Mr. Walkup had taught school in Rupert for the past 26 years. A native of Crawley, he was a Mason and a Moose and a member of the West Virginia Society of Professional Engineers. He was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church where service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by Rev. Lee White and Rev. Hobart Quesenberry. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery with graveside Masonic rites. Survivors are his wife, Helen; two sons, Cleo Jr. of Rupert and Joseph at home; a daughter, Martha, at home; his father, Robert A. Walkup of Crawley; a brother, Thomas of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Clemons of Crawley; and a grandchild. The body is at Nickell Funeral Home in East Rainelle and will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Monday.
