Mr. and Mrs. John Edward Pomeroy of Petersburg, Va., formerly of Quinwood, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 13 at their home. He is retired from Allied Chemical of Hopewell, Va. She is the former Sue Smith. Their children are Carrie Gail Walker of Fort. Washington, Md., John E. Jr. in Japan, Brenda L. Nunley of Lewisburg, Virginia L. Robinson of Lincoln Park, Mich., and Sammy Jack of Alexandria, Va. They have nine grandchildren.
