SUMMERSVILLE — Jennings Bryan "Red" McClung, 85, died Friday June 8,2012, at the home of his daughter.
He was the son of the late Jennings B. and Ethel Legg McClung Sr. and was born at Enon July 30, 1926.
He was a retired electrician from Peerless Eagle Coal Company with 42 years of service. Red was a member of the Quinwood Rod & Gun Club and attended the Pierson Chapel United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby Neil McClung; three daughters, Charlotte (Jim) Gray, of Summersville, Sharon Miller of Beckley and Karen (Kenny) Roberts of Summersville; two brothers, Frank McClung of Elkview and Harry McClung of Summersville; a sister, Dama Jean Gray, of Brooksville, Fla.; five grandchildren, Shannon, Shawn, D.J., Johnna and Jaren; six great-grandchildren, Michael, Connor, Tyler, Makayla, Logan and Brylee
Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 11, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Waters Funeral Chapel at Summersville with Pastor Phil Hickman officiating. Burial with grave rites by the Nicholas County Honor Guard will follow in the Walker Memorial Park at Summersville.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening.
