  Charleston Newspapers, Charleston, WV, Online Edition, 18 Sep 2007 Charles V. Deitz, 83, of Mount Lookout, Nicholas County, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, in Summersville Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 18, 1924, at Mount Lookout, he was a son of the late Dewey Earl and Bertha Ann Evans Deitz. He was also preceded in death by a son, William Earl Deitz; a brother, Emmett Deitz; and a sister, Lucille Frazier. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Mount Lookout, and was a retired coalminer. Survivors include his wife, Freda McClung Deitz; two sons, Larry Deitz and his wife, Brenda, and James Nelson Deitz, all of Mount Lookout; a daughter, Beverly Ann Baber and her husband, Ted, of Oak Hill; one brother, Gerald Deitz of Mount Lookout; two sisters, Freda Smith of Montgomery and Audra Deitz of Mount Lookout; one grandson, Scott Deitz and his wife, Tammy; and one great-grandchild, Madison Deitz. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Mount Lookout, with the Rev. Howard Gwinn and the Rev. Randy Sunderland officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at White Funeral Home, Summersville.
