SUMMERSVILLE - John Homer Hayslette, 51, of Summersville, died Saturday, [April 6, 2002], at his home. Born Jan. 20, 1951, in Weston, Lewis County, he was a son of Josephine Smith Hayslette of Mount Lookout and the late Homer Hayslette. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Fellowship Church at Summersville, was a former member of the Army Reserves, and was a maintenance clerk at Nicholas Energy at Drennen. Surviving besides his mother are his loving wife, Dianne Marie Hayslette; one son, Jon Kristopher Hayslette and his wife, Amy of Culloden; one stepson, Allan Foster at home; one brother, George Hayslette and his wife, Ginny of Mount Lookout; one sister, Pat Hall and her husband, Harold of Mount Lookout; two grandsons, Dylan and Joseph Hayslette, both of Culloden. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2002, in the White Funeral Home at Summersville with the Rev. Mark McClung officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery at Mount Lookout. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
