Robert L. Franklin of Dover died at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 3 at his residence. He was 65.
Mr. Franklin retired in January from Springfield Contractors Inc., Glen Rock, where he was a truck driver for seven years. Before that, he worked for DEM Contractors.
He was a member of Vigilant Social Club and Green Springs Hunting Camp.
Born in Renick, W.Va., March 27, 1935, he was a son of Ina M. Crane Franklin of Dover and the late Clyde Franklin.
He also leaves his wife of 41 years, Vonnie A. Crone Franklin; two daughters, Vicki L. Spangler and Karen S. Franklin, both of Dover; a son, Dwayne A. Franklin of Dover; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Betty J. Schenandore of Dover; and two brothers, Gerald E. Franklin and Donald G. Franklin, both of Dover.
Viewing is 1 to 2 p.m. tomorrow at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. The service is at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home with the Rev. Pamela Cianciosi-Kinter, pastor of New Creation Community Church, officiating.
Burial is in Salem Union Cemetery, Dover.
