Rickie "Rick" Carl Legg, 55, of Fairlea passed away on Friday January 23, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Rick was born July 17, 1959 in Ronceverte and was the son of Norma Heaster Legg of Lewisburg and the late William H. Legg.
Rick was a 1977 graduate of Greenbrier East High School and was recently retired from the West Virginia Dept. of Highways where he worked as a crane operator. He enjoyed hunting, boating and entertaining friends, but most of all being PawPaw to his very special "grandson", Jameson, whom he adored.
Surviving are his mother, sister Terry Bare and husband Dudley of Ronceverte; his companion Cora Hunter of Fairlea; her son Aaron and his wife Amber their children Chase and Jameson all of Lewisburg; Cora's daughter Juli of Squaw Valley, CA. several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and numerous friends.
Rick's funeral services will be Friday January 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Brent Gragg officiating with interment to follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg. The family will receive their family and friends on Thursday January 29, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Ave., Lewisburg, WV 24901.
