This deed made this 26th day of January 1900 between J. A. Jones and Susan his wife, W. B. McClung and Mary his wife, H. H. Bevins and Etta his wife, G. A. Winebinner and Nancy his wife, Wm. S. Crane and Mary [William Starr Crane & Mary Isaac Young] his wife and Wm. R. McClung and Kettie Ann his wife [William Reese McClung and his second wife, Katherine Callison], all of Greenbrier County, WV, parties of the first part; and James Deitz Sr., B. F. McClung, Wm. R. McClung and Joseph Beets, Trustees of the Amwell Baptist Church of the same county and state parties of the second part.
Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars in hand paid, receipt of which is herein acknowledged, do grant unto the parties of the second part and their successors in said office for Amwell Baptist Church that certain tract or parcel of land situate in Medow Bluff of Greenbrier County known as lot No.8 of the Martha Crane Estate and bounded as fallows:
Beginning at a stake near corner of home due W57 poles to stake N13 E90 poles to two white oaks, N80 E30 poles to stake, due S87 poles to stake, S49 E4 poles to beginning containing 24 ½ acres. And the parties of the first part do hereby covenant with the parties of the second part that they will warrant especially the property hereby conveyed witness the following signatures and seals.
