Londus S. Boothe, 88, of Quinwood passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
Londus was born on July 8, 1934 at Orient Hill; he was the son of the late Albert Kelly Boothe and Iva Agnes O’Dell Boothe.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Emogene Boothe; brothers, Duard Boothe, Ranus Boothe, Darrell Boothe and Rev. Houston Boothe.
He was an underground coal miner for 41 years and a member of the UMWA. He served in many capacities at Orient Hill Baptist Church. He had many hobbies and was very active and supportive in the Quinwood Community and Volunteer Fire Department.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Shelva McClung Boothe; beloved father of one daughter, Marsha (Kevin) Ocheltree of Sam Black Church; three sons, Tim (Pam) Boothe of Butler, PA, Kevin (Robin) Boothe of Lewisburg, Steve (Wanda) Boothe of Lewisburg; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; extended family and friends.
Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Pastor Troy George officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
