- Obituary -- Wilburn Wayne McClung
MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. -- Wilburn Wayne McClung, 83, of Morehead City, and a native of Orient Hill, died December 2, 2014, at his home.
Mr. McClung was born in Orient Hill, West Virginia, to Lake L. and Nellie Fleshman McClung.
He served his country in the US Air Force for over 27 years, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Upon returning to Carteret County, he was Greens Superintendent for the Brandywine Bay Country Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Settle, of Morehead City; brother, S. Gene McClung, and his wife, Libby, of Morehead City; two sisters, Drema Dorsey, and husband, Junior, of Rupert, WV and Murlene Pomeroy, and husband, Larry, of Clayton, NC; one grandchild, Jessica Settle, and one great-grandchild, Bryce Ketner.
