ORRVILLE -- Jerry L. Crane, age 73, of Orrville, died Friday, April 17, 2015, at his residence in Orrville, following a period of declining health.
Jerry was born on January 19, 1942, in Ronceverte, West Virginia, and married Nancy A. Jones on June 10, 1973, in Orrville. Nancy died on July 23, 2012.
He served as a Private First Class in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He then worked as a maintenance supervisor for Volvo GM in Orrville for 30 years.
Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a true outdoorsman. He loved traveling with his wife to their cabin in Wills Creek, OH and the company of his friends.
Surviving are two sons, Mike (Amy) Taylor of Marshallville, and James Scott (Robin) Taylor of Worthington, WV; a grandson, James (Amanda) Taylor Jr. of Worthington, WV; and a sister, Crystal of FL.
Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, with Rev. Brad Dews officiating. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman where military rites will be observed.
Friends may call on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm prior to the service
