  	Obituary -- Edith R. Bacon Deitz GOUVERNEUR -- The funeral for Edith R. Deitz, 83, Gouverneur, was held Tuesday, at French Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronald E. Sampson, pastor of Harrisville Christian Church, officiating. Burial was in East Riverside Cemetery. Mrs. Deitz died Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt. Mrs. Deitz worked at Natural Dam Paper Mill for a short time many years ago. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and enjoyed fishing, bowling, camping and traveling. Born Jan. 29, 1922 in Macomb, she was the daughter of Claude and Beulah Heath Bacon, she attended school at Briar Hill and at a one-room schoolhouse in Balmat. She married Wallace H. Deitz, Jr., on Feb 21, 1952, at the Methodist Parsonage in Evansville, Ind. The couple lived throughout the United States, for three years in Germany and for four years in Italy while Mr. deitz served in the Army. After he retired, the couple moved in 1976 to Sylvia Lake. Surviving besides her husband are a son and his wife, Randy L. and Terri, Apopka, Fla., two daughters and a son-in-law, Patricia L. Beckerman, Goldboro, N.C., and Gloria L. and Scott Weldon, Gouverneur; three sisters, Keitha Woodall, Alice Cole and Vera Ray, all of gouverneur; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren,
