Betty (Brewer, Edwards) Morton, of Carney's Point, left this earth on February 14, 2015 to join loved ones waiting for her.
A retired bookkeeper and former business owner, she was best known as the lady at Ashley's Market in Pennsville who traded baseball and football cards with the neighborhood kids. In addition to her great love for her family, Betty had a serious passion for sports especially girl's field hockey, football, and of course Phillies baseball.
Betty felt blessed that she was able to travel with her late husband, Roger Morton, to many places of interest in the United States and in the world.
She was predeceased by her parents, Claude and Virginia (nee: Smith) Brewer and her brother, Billy Brewer. Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Michele Edwards Seagraves (Tom Alexander) and Kathy Edwards (Michael Racer) and grandchildren, Andrew Seagraves and Zachary Edwards, Kristina Alexander, Austin and Savannah Racer, a step-son, Gregory Morton, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and many loving friends who Betty treated like family members.
Although she wanted no recognition, her daughters and others witnessed Betty touch the lives of others through many acts of kindness.
