  	Obituary -- John Edward Pomeroy, Sr. PETERSBURG, Va. -- John Edward (Pete) Pomeroy, Sr., 73, formerly of Quinwood, died Friday, Dec. 14, in a Petersburg, Va. hospital following a long illness. Born Feb. 5, 1917, at Greenwood, he was the son of the late John Weaver and Goldie Faye Boone Pomeroy. Mr. Pomeroy was a member of the First Baptist Church at Quinwood, was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge - Ralph Nader Group, was a member of the Petersburg Historical Society, was a retired electrician and EMT from Allied Chemicals in Hopewell, Va., and was a former coal miner for 18 years. Survivors include his wife, Sue Smith Pomeroy,; three daughters, Carrie Gail Walker of Fort Washington, Md., Brenda Nunley of Lewisburg, and Virginia Lee Robinson of Lincoln Park, Mich.; two sons, John Easton Pomeroy, Jr., of Petersburg, Va., and Sammy Jack Pomeroy of Fredricksburg, Va.; two sisters, Hallie McMillon of Euclid, Ohio, and Brenda Lucille Fox of Quinwood, and nine grandchildren. Service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Wallace and Wallace Chapel in Rainelle with the Rev. Houston Boothe officiating. Burial will be in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintoville.
