- CRICHTON - Leslie E. Simms, 70, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at his
home following a long illness.
Born May 5, 1933, at East Rainelle, he was the son of the late
Stewart Thomas and Cuma T. Sanford Simms.
Mr. Simms was a disabled truck driver and of the Methodist faith.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother,
Marvin "Brownie" Simms.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor D. "Sue" Simms of Crichton; two
sons, Lee Miller of Crichton and Darrell Simms of Franklin, Mo.; a
sister, Geneva Meadows of Bellwood; a brother, Forest "Hod" Simms of
Rainelle; five grandchildren; and his faithful and loyal companion,
his dog, Velvet.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in
Rainelle with Pastor Robert Nolen officiating. Burial will follow in
Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
