  	Obituary of Rev. Hilbert McClung; The Charleston Gazette Online RAVENS EYE - The Rev. Hilbert McClung, 80, of Ravens Eye, Fayette County, died Jan. 29, 1999, in a Beckley hospital after a short illness. He was an American Baptist pastor, having formerly pastored at Bethel Baptist Church, New England Baptist Church, Parkersburg, Calloway Heights Baptist Church of Beckley and First Baptist Church of Chelyan. He was an interim pastor for several other churches around the state. He was a graduate of Tennessee Temple University and Seminary, and Clear Creek Bible College, Kentucky. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, a former president of Kanawha Valley Ministerial Association, a member of the Advisory Board of Alderson-Broaddus College, and a previous minister-at-large with the American Baptist Convention. Surviving: wife, Syble Holliday McClung; daughter, Kathryn Luikard of Lookout; son, J. Rodney McClung of Denton, Texas; sisters, Hazel Turner of Hines, Bernice "Bunny" Calkins of Baltimore, Thelma Lively of Rainelle, Gladys Coutler of Sam Black Church; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Donaldson, the Rev. James Crouch and the Rev. Doug Hill officiating. Entombment will be in Wallace Memorial Mausoleum, Clintonville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the church. Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Ansted, is in charge of arrangements.
