- Obituary for Llewellyn Glenna Simms Cadle
Llewellyn Simms Cadle, 88, of Grassy Meadows, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 12, 2018 at her home following a 13 year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born August 5, 1929, at Rainelle, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Bertha Crookshanks Simms. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Evert Cadle; 5 brothers Basil, Bradford, Bentley, Blendon, and Bernard Simms and 2 sisters, Lela Simms Knapp and Louise Simms Tincher.
Left to cherish her memory are 2 daughters, Susan (David) Hutsenpiller and Sandra (Mike) Arbaugh; 3 grandchildren, Chad (Diane) Bryant, Chandra Bryant, and Sybil (Chad) Rodes; 4 greatgrandchildren, Dawson Flack, Emma, Aaron, and Andrew Rodes.
The family wishes to thank Llewellyn’s caregivers, Drema Helmick, Helen Hutsenpiller, and Debbie Legg for their love and affection shown in the last 13 years as well as the care of the Lewisburg Hospice workers.
Services will be 2:00 pm. on Saturday, July 14, at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Inc. with Vince Deeds officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
