- Obituary -- Mary Olive Williams Simms
Mary Olive Williams Simms, 71, of Sandstone, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Princeton Community Hospital following a short illness.
Born December 27, 1948, in Lockbridge, she was the daughter of the late Avery and Glenna Gwinn Williams.
Mary worked as an L.P.N. for R.E.S. Inc. and loved the patients that came through the door. She was a supporter of Crow Baptist Church and BIMI Ministries. Mary loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her home was always open to friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Avery “Butch” Williams and a great-grandson Gabriel Sedgwick.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Dr. Ralph Simms; one son Ralph Simms, Jr. (Patricia) of Sarver, Pennsylvania; two daughters Susan Mrozek (Martin) of Fayetteville and JoEllen Mathewson (Thomas) of Green Sulphur Springs; six grandchildren Abigail Sedgwick (Jon), Lillian Simms, Avery Simms, Matthew Mrozek, Olivia Keaton, and Jacob Mrozek; three great-grandchildren, Evalynn Spivey, Silas Sedgwick, and Eli Sedgwick; and a host of extended family and friends.
