- Obituary -- Mary Emily Meadows Webb
Mary Emily Meadows Webb, 91, of Tornado died Dec. 19, 1997, at home after a long illness.
She was a Christian and member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir, president of the Ladies Missionary Circle, church treasurer, and a Sunday school teacher.
She was a retired merchant and owner/operator of a grocery store in Tornado for 22 years. She was a 46-year resident of Tornado.
Surviving are daughters, Aretta Lindemann of Clermont, FL and Anita "Polly" Conn of Tornado, with whom she made her home; son, Oliver Quinton "Pete" Webb of St. Albans; sister, Melda Cadle of West Blocton, AL; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Casdorph and Curry Funeral Home Chapel, St. Albans, with the Rev. Bruce Keeling and the Rev. Benny Bess officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
