- Obituary -- Loma Lewis Crane
Loman L. Crane, 88, of Elton, died Sun., May 30, 1993 at Appalachian Regional Hospital, following a short illness.
Born Feb., 12, 1905, at Kieffer, he was the son of the late William Samuel and Elizabeth Catherine Shawver Crane.
Mr. Crane was a member of the Elton Community Church where he was a Sunday School teacher for 35 years. He was a welding instructor at Pineville and Hinton and was a retired heavy equipment operator and mechanic for Sparks Coal Co.
He was preceeded in death by his first wife, Marie Fleshman Crane; six sisters; four brothers; one grandson and one great-grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Dottie O'Dell Crane; four daughters, Erma Zickafoose of Flint, Mich., Mrs. Olen (Deloris) Gwinn of Meadow Bridge, Mrs. Earl (Carmella) Stevens of Sterling, Ill., two sons, Lewis Crane and his wife Lola, of Pataskala, Oh., and Lawrence Crane and his wife Glenna, of Elton; a stepson Warren O'Dell of Summersville; sister Mattie King of Rupert; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
Service were held at 11 a.m. Wed., June 2 at the Wallace and Wallace Memorial Mausoleum in Clintonville.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
