- Obituary - Florence Alma McClung Anderson
Florence McClung Anderson, 88, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on June 10, 2014, at Hospice Care, St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
She was born on December 22, 1925, in Quinwood, WV, a daughter of the late Oather and Nina Bennett McClung. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leon.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Ravenswood. She enjoyed gardening and sewing, and she loved being with her family.
Surviving are her daughters, Linda Waybright and her husband Gary, Hermiston, OR, and Beverly McComas and her husband Jim, Georgetown, KY; grandchildren, Scott, Trevor, and Amy; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Sydni, Jordan, Justin, Alyssa, Madison, Tanner, and Trent; sisters, Frances Cales, Winchester, VA; Naomi Pittsenbarger, Summerville, SC; and Martha McClung, Rupert, WV; brother, Don McClung, Beckley, WV; David McClung, Florida; Delmas McClung, McLeansville, NC; and Larry McClung, Murrells Inlet, SC.
Services were be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 10:00 am at Second Baptist Church in Ravenswood with grandson and Pastor, Trevor Waybright and Pastor S. R. Parsons, Jr. officiating. Burial followed in Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Clintonville, WV.
