- Obituary - Corie L. Winebrimmer
Corie Leigh Winebrimmer, 15, of Lanark, was called to Heaven on Saturday, November 3, 2001.
Born Dec. 12, 1985, in Beckley, she was the daughter of Linda Hanks Winebrimmer and stepfather Dougal Smith of Lanark, and Michael Winebrimmer of Lewisburg.
Corie was a sophomore and an honor student at independence High School. She was a member of the HIS Student council and the Bible Club. She loved computers and was planning to join the basketball team this year. Corie had many friends whom she loved and enjoyed spending time with.
She was shortly followed in death by her boyfriend, Joel Tawney. Other survivors include her brother, Westley Chance Winebrimmer; her sister Shawna Ashley Winebrimmer of :Lanark; her grandmother, Norma Welch of Lanark; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins by whom she will be missed.
Service will be 1p.m. Friday at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Beckley, with Bob Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may call 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Allen McMullen, Noah Kirk, James Thomas, Jeremy Smith, Brandon Bartlett, Ryan Tussey, Ben Tussey, Mark Garcia and Ryan Walker. Arrangements by Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley.
