- Obituarty -- John Roosevelt Crane
John Roosevelt Cranre, 71, died Sunday in his Rupert home. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
He was born near Rupert, a son of the late Edward and Mary Reynolds Crane, and was a retired coal miner.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Samples Crane; two sons, John Lee and Edward E., both of Rupert, Mrs. Snuffer of Anstead, Fayette County, Mrs. Amy Ruth Mann of Germanstown, Ohio, and Mrs. Libby Sanders of Blockville, S.C.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Lucille C. Redden, of Bellwood, Fayette County; one brother, Orley, of Beverly Shores, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Suttle of Rainelle and Mrs. Pauline Hines of Hines.
Service will be conducted from the Don Smathers Chapel in Rainelle this afternnon, Thursday, at 2:30 with the Rev. John Lares offficiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery near Clintonville.
