Jeffrey Lee Hunter, 55, of Rupert, found peace on July 2, 2017 after a brief illness.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jennings R and Zenna Hunter and maternal grandparents, Herbert K and Clara Cruse.
Born on March 25, 1962 at Beckley, he was the son of Carl and Cora Cruse Hunter.
Jeff was a loving, kind son, father, brother and uncle. He was a gifted carpenter that enjoyed creating “one of a kind” crafted tables and he also restored houses. He will forever be missed by his devoted and unconditional loving parents, his children, brother and sister and extended family and friends.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Carl and Cora Hunter of Rupert; 2 sons, Landon and Camron whom he loved and was deeply proud of; sister, Vonnie Hunter of Virginia; brother, Jeremy Hunter of Rupert; niece, Jamie Buster; nephew, Josh Buster, both of Virginia Beach, VA; special uncle and aunt, Kirby and Georgeann Blankenship.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rupert with Pastor Glen Kuhn officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 1:00 until time of service Friday at the chapel.
