      HOPEWELL JUNCTION - John Francis Gubas, 68, of Blue Hill Road died Saturday at his home.

      Mr. Gubas, an area resident since 1961, retired in 1975 as an employee of the maintenance department at the New York Stock Exchange in New York City.

      He was a member of the St. Columba Church, Hopewell Junction.

      Mr. Gubas was bron Sept. 27, 1913 in Manhattan, and was the son of John and Mary Schramm Gubas.

      He was married June 8, 1940, in Manhattan to Beulah Crane, who survives.

      Mr. Gubas is also survived by a son, Lawrence Gubas, of Manhattan; a daughter, Mrs. Diane Benelli, of Audubon, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Rector of Huntington, L.I., Mrs. Julie Danek of College Point, L.I., and Mrs. Caroline Klecar of Holbrook, L.I.; and one granddaughter.

      Calling hours will be Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Hoime, Route 82, Hopewell Junction.

      A mass of the Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday at 9 a.m. at St. Denis Church. Hopewell Junction, with the Rev. Genarro Gentile officiating.

      Burial will be in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery, Flushing, L.I.
