Rupert Resident Has Fatal Attack
RUPERT (RNS) - Van Buren Robinson, 40, died Wednesday morning in Ronceverte en route ro a hospital as the result of a heart attack.
Robinson was employed by the LayFayette Springs Coal Co. at Newcomb. He was a member of Local 8923 of the United Mine Workers of America.
Born at East Rainelle, June 2, 1918, Robinson is survived by his wife Mrs. Macel Gay Robinson; his parents, Willie W. of Duo and Mrs. Lydia McClung of East Rainelle; three children, Thelma, Harold, and Teddy, all at home; two brothers, Worthy of Duo and Willard of Cloverdale, Calif.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Nickell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Elbert Perkins. Burial will be in the Rainelle Cemetery.
