- Obituary - James Stanford Crane
WELLSVILLE James S. Crane, 84, entered into rest at 4:21 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at his home.
He was the loving husband of Ruth N. (Leber) Crane. The couple celebrated 57 years of marriage in November of 2014.
Born April 1, 1930, in Greenbriar, West Virginia, James was a son of the late Harry T. and Della D. (Hanna) Crane. He served in the U.S. Army during peacetime. James retired from Danskin and previously worked for BSA. He loved mowing and caring for his lawn. He also enjoyed tinkering with old automobiles.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by two sons, Jay A. Crane and wife, Karen of Carlisle and James A. Crane and wife, Sandy of Lake Meade; two daughters, Cindy L. Johnson and husband, David of New Cumberland and Tina M. Camplese and husband, Michael of Wellsville; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Samuel Crane of Jacobus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Suburban Memorial Gardens. Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is in charge of arrangements.
