- Obituary -- Barry Branner Kirby
GOLDSBORO, N.C. -- Barry Branner Kirby, 61, passed away last Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Barry was born Nov. 25, 1946 in Staunton, Va., to the late Alton and Irene [sic] Kirby.
Barry was a retired insurance agent with Combined Insurance Co. He served his country in hte United States Army.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where he attended with the Rev. Bill Ordelt presiding.
Barry is survived by his wife, Rhonda "Randie" McAleer Kirby; his daughter Lori Gilboy and husband, Tim of Pittsburgh, Pa.; His sons Chistopher Barron and partner Shawn Gardner of Washington D.C., Jason Barron and wife, Kendra, of Cary and Barry B. Kirby II and wife, Ashley, of Charlotte; and his grandchildren, Devyn and Courtney Barron. In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his brother, Alton Kirby, Jr.
