- Obituary -- Alton Homer Kirby, Jr.
Alton Homer Kirby, Jr., 59, of 10723 Fury Lane, El Paso, Texas, died 7:03 a.m. Friday (Sept. 14, 1990) at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 28, 193o at Cambridge, Md., a son of Mr. & Mrs. Alton H. [Kirby] Sr. and Catherine Elaine (Merrick) Kirby.
He was employed by the United States Government, under the Deapartment of Justice, for 35 years, and was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a son, Alton H. Kirby, III of Springfield; three daughters, Mrs. Jackie Lambert of Roanoke, Mrs. Debbie Mabie of Buffalo, W. Va., and Mrs. Helen Serrano of El Paso; a brother, Barry B. Kirby of Goldsboro, N.C.; NS three grandchildren.
A service will be conducted 2 p.m. by the Rev. Herbert A. Moyer and Richard Mabie, with burial at Thornrose Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Nahan, Dick Parker, Howard Brown, John Keehn, Al Reed and Percie Willson.
