  	Obituary -- Margaret Estelle Kirby Matthews NAPLES Fla. -- Margaret Estelle Matthews, 105, former of Staunton, died Thursday (Sept 28, 2000) at Naples. She was born Sept. 28, 1895, at Church Creek, Md., a daughter of Joseph G. and Gertrude (Moore) Kirby She spent most of her life in the Staunton area and was a member of Central United Methodist Church since 1919. She also taught Sunday school for 34 years. She was past president of the Garden Club and was a volunteer with the Grey Ladies at the Woodrow Wilson Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney E. Matthews in 1951. He was past manager of Virginia Electric and Poqwer Co. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Rygh of Naples, where she had lived the past 11 years, Ann Deichsel of Naples and a son, Sidney E. Matthews, Jr. of Carbondale, Ill, and Naples; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchilden. A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Thornrose Cemetery by Dr. Daniel L. Garrett of Central United Methodist Church.
